What we offer
At Raglan Road, we provide care and education for children aged 2 to 4 years.
We run two sessions daily from Monday-Friday
- Morning Session: 9am-12pm
- Afternoon Session: 12pm -3pm
Children may attend both the morning and afternoon sessions in one day. Children attending all day (9am-3pm) will require a packed lunch.
The sessions are 3 hours long, and structured so that the children know what to expect from every session. We organise our sessions so that the children can choose from, and work at, a range of activities.
Free Play/ Continuous Provision
We value and encourage all types of play, both outdoor and indoors, therefore children have opportunity for both outdoor and indoor play throughout the sessions. We have various areas which the children can choose to explore including;
- Puzzle tables
- Dress up/role play area
- Sand, water and playdough areas
- Construction area
- Physical area such as a climbing frame or tunnels, bikes and scooter
- Arts and crafts table
- Small world
- Musical area
- Planting
Snack Time
We make snacks a social time at which the children eat together at a table. We plan the snacks so that they provide the children with healthy and nutritious food. Please tell us about your child’s dietary needs and we will make sure that these are met.
Singing and Circle Time
Circle time is a lovely way to finish our sessions. The children will learn new nursery rhymes, play number games and listen to their favourite stories. Circle times provide an excellent stepping stone for children to develop their listening and concentration skills ready for school.
